We took a slight break from social (felt good). But we're back to wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. This has been an amazing year for us - both professionally and personally! Both of our youngest siblings got married and we've been working on some fun new projects. We are so grateful for our community and clients - it's such a blessing to genuinely love what you do and who you get to work with. Throwback to pre-covid dining at @gjelinarestaurant. Thinking back to life a year ago, just like everyone else, we were concerned for the health and safety of our loved ones and wondered what this pandemic would do to our business. Like most small businesses, we were prepared to take a hit, apply for a small business loan, whatever it took to keep Nesh alive. As the early weeks played out, we were surprised that our phone started ringing even more than usual. Businesses needed to be online and we were grateful they were turning to us. We are thankful there's a light at the end of the tunnel and are so grateful for our amazing clients who have continued to support us through this last year.

A perk of being a husband + wife business: team meetings on the road. The concept of Nesh was born on a road trip in 2017. We spent our drive from Minneapolis to Milwaukee daydreaming about what it would look like to work for ourselves, helping other small businesses and nonprofits. We feel so fortunate to have spent the last four years working together and with such wonderful clients. We’re excited to keep pushing forward and growing Nesh in new ways this year!

Our weekend started with picking up face masks from our sweet client, @jackie_direct. We are getting close to launching her new website (yay!) . . Being equipped with face masks we decided to do a hike in Whiting Ranch. One mile in we encountered a rattlesnake which prompted me (Lisa) to sprint out of the park. 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️ . . Sunday we decided to stick to a walk free of crawling creatures. While on our walk we stumbled upon this beautiful house. It reminds us of Palm Springs and the better days ahead. . . Last week, @nespresso provided us with high level customer service. I (Lisa), wasn't too excited about dialing into customer service, but ended up being pleasantly surprised by the outstanding service I received. My rep, Rose, went above and beyond to not only assure me that Nespresso would resolve the issue, but also extend the warranty, AND threw in some free coffee capsules 💃 . It inspired us to make sure our clients always walk away from a conversation with us knowing how valued and appreciated they are. . Thanks Nespresso for the great coffee and lesson in going above and beyond for your customers.

One thing I’m grateful for is having my spouse as my business partner. The other day I was having trouble mapping out a website. Fortunately, Jerry was a few feet away to jump in with ideas and suggestions. What would have taken me a while to figure out on my own was resolved in 10 minutes, thanks to Jerry’s input! Three years ago, we picked up this pie from @stockholmpieandgeneralstore on our way home from a road trip. We spent most of the drive daydreaming about what it would look like to work for ourselves, helping other small businesses and nonprofits. . . That dream felt so out of reach, but within a few months, Jerry had quit his day job and officially launched Nesh Design and Media. Lisa followed shortly after. Here we are, nearly three years later, living the dream (most days!) 🥴 . . We hope during this time of uncertainty, you can find ways to keep pushing towards that dream, no matter how impossible or distant it seems to be. And NEVER stop eating pie. It’s life giving y’all 🥧

Write down social media topics. Start with easy ones: introduce yourself or your company, highlight the strengths of your business, and throw in a national holiday or two! Start small and build your way up. Maybe it's one or two social media posts a week. Remember to use hashtags that your customers or clients are likely following and tag your local cities.
