Nutrition Coach Ana Cherney Shares Her Approach to Healthy Eating

Health and wellness coach, Ana Cherney, has a refreshing outlook on the rules of being healthy: “You can go ahead and eat your Friday night pizza.”

This isn’t something you might expect to hear from a health and wellness coach, but Ana is breaking the cycle of obsessive eating habits. She says that the line between being healthy and unhealthy doesn’t have to be so stark. We aren’t necessarily one or the other.

By rejecting the all-or-nothing attitude that society often has when it comes to being healthy, Ana empowers her clients to take small steps towards lifelong change.

“My mission is to help burnt-out, fed up, tired chronic dieters to break free from the crazy quick-fix culture so that they can learn how to eat well, be joyful and live a life of purpose and make permanent changes to their body, for the rest of their life.”

Ana was inspired to become a certified nutrition coach because she wanted to do something that can truly help women. After watching the women around her go through diet after diet, she knew there had to be a better way.

“I’ve witnessed so much stress around food,” Ana says. “I’ve experienced it myself and seen it in my family, and that stress and uncertainty can trickle down into other areas of life. I just want to bring joy and purpose back into women’s lives.”

Another source of inspiration for Ana is her one-year-old son.

“I want to teach him how to have a good relationship with food, and to be kind to himself. And I know that that starts by being kind to myself,” Ana says.

Ana’s favorite foods range from healthier items like roasted broccoli to comfort foods like waffles and pizza. She finds a way to include all of these things in her diet while living a healthy lifestyle. Through her coaching platform More Than Fuel, Ana hopes to inspire women to do the same.

“One of the reasons I love coaching so much is to see how much people can change just by making those tiny changes, one at a time,” Ana says. “There doesn’t have to be so much stress and uncertainty around food. But it’s really hard to make changes in your life, no matter how small, if you have no one to support you.”

In doing some networking with Orange County Realtors Association, Lisa and I ran into a friend we hadn’t seen in a long time - Daniel Fennell. It was great to see Daniel and catch up, and talk about how we could collaborate to help our clients market their businesses. Since that meeting, we’ve been able to team up and use Daniel’s skills of capturing properties and people in our websites and marketing campaigns. Daniel is the owner of Fennell Media, specializing in videography and photography for real estate.
